How do online dating agencies work?
Most online dating agencies appear to work in a similar way but can operate quite differently behind the scenes to give you your list of people. Almost all will want you to register with a Username and Password fairly early on in the process.
Some online dating agencies are free but most require a small fee to access the full features of the site. It makes sense to go for one where you have to pay a subscription fee.
Why? Because you know that other people who respond to you are serious about finding a partner. The free dating agencies tend to have lots of users just having fun on the internet so it would be very easy to get put off internet dating agencies altogether.
Following your registration you will be able to log in and view the profiles/ads. You can divide online dating into three basic classifications. Unfortunately the definitions do get blurred at the edges so it always worth taking advantage of any free trials to ensure that you have a service that you are happy with before you subscribe.
Whether you choose one of the many online dating agencies or one of the other forms the basic principle is the same – once you’ve seen the profile or ad of someone you like then it’s time to put pen to paper – or more accurately to put fingers to keyboard and get messaging!

How does speed dating work?
Most speed dating events work on the same basis wherever you go.
Typically, the women will sit down at numbered tables. The men will then join them for a three-minute mini-date. You chat, you smile, you flick your hair, then the buzzer sounds and your three-minute man moves to the next table.
You then both tick check yes, no or maybe on your scorecards and perhaps a comment or two and the dating goes on.
A new guy sits down and you do it all over again. At the end of the night, everybody handsin their scorecards and the organizers send you an email a few days later that gives you contact information for all the people that you liked who also liked you.
The number of dates differs for different speed dating companies, but in on average, you can expect to meet between 15 and 25 new potential dates.
